A Mechanical Engineer job in Willoughby, OH is currently available through PRADCO. You will be responsible for both design and extensive work in the field. You will be actively engaged in project engineering, participating in the conception, design, execution, and field implementation. You will be critical in executing customized solution projects, translating concepts into practical action, and developing impactful customer relationships.

In addition to design work, the Mechanical Engineer role involves significant field exposure. You will conduct site visits to inspect electrostatic precipitators, assess equipment conditions, and develop maintenance scopes of work. You will collaborate closely with customers and contractors to identify performance improvement opportunities and recommend tailored solutions.

To be considered, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least three years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, with the potential to lead to advanced roles within the company.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical drawings and plans for a variety of engineering and construction projects using CAD and SolidWorks software.
  • Create diagrams and layouts to illustrate the workflow of designs.
  • Work closely with engineers and consultants to understand project requirements and ensure accurate and complete drawings.
  • Create 2D and 3D models.
  • Collaborate with the design team to review drawings and designs.
  • Make adjustments to drawings according to feedback from engineers or consultants.
  • Ensure designs comply with company regulations and quality standards.
  • Maintain and organize project files and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Foundation in mechanical engineering principles and design concepts.
  • Exposure to CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid collaborative team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
  • Prior internship or coursework related to mechanical engineering is a plus.
