An Electrical Engineer job in Simpsonville, SC is currently available through PRADCO at our Fortune 500 manufacturing client. You will be responsible for designing and modifying electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. To be considered, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience.
Job Duties
- Interact closely with department process engineers, operations team, and global engineering to provide control solutions to improve safety, quality, and process efficiency
- Identify, develop, and execute improved process control strategies for delivering top quality finished product to our customers
- Serve as the subject matter expert for controls systems across multiple manufacturing work centers
- Modify and maintain equipment HMI’s, PLC’s and PC architecture
- Modify and maintain technical applications including web servers and databases
- Support OT and MES implementation
- Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering role
- Strong safety awareness and understanding of safety controls
- Experience programming and specifying Allen Bradley Compact/ControLogix PLCs, AC and DC Drives (Allen-Bradley, ABB, other), HMI software such as FactoryTalk View, iFix, and Ignition.
- Knowledge of programming environments and languages such as vb.net, C#, Python, SQL.
- Knowledge of ethernet network architecture, switches and routers.
- Knowledge of operating system installation and configuration (Windows, Ubuntu).
- Experience with varied manufacturing processes. Extrusion, printing, laminating, and converting preferred
- Experience with automation, machine learning, AI is a plus
