A Process Engineer job in Simpsonville, SC is currently available through PRADCO at one of our Fortune 500 manufacturing clients. You will be responsible for developing improved methods for delivering finished products to their customers. To be considered, you should have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and experience with extrusion manufacturing processes.
Job Duties
- Develop improved methods for delivering finished product to our customers
- Serve as the primary driver for cost improvement projects for current and new operations
- Act as primary technical lead for process and equipment improvement projects
- Oversee equipment modifications, upgrades, and new installations
- Interact with T&I, Product Technology, Business Unit Leaders, Maintenance, Operators, and Engineers to solve process issues, quality concerns and identify new or improved products or methods for delivering value-added products to customers
- Stay abreast of new equipment / process developments in the Plastic Extrusion field
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert in troubleshooting manufacturing issues
- Identify and implement new/improved methods of manufacturing to improve profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a process engineer role
- Experience with manufacturing process improvements. Extrusion, printing, laminating, web handling, and converting experience desired
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and tools
- Ability to manage a project and process involving multiple manufacturing work centers across various portions of the business
- Leadership ability and history of results that improve KPI’s
- Knowledge of DMAIC methodology
- Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Background of designed experiments, Lean Six Sigma, SPC, or equivalent
